The Frillstyle Podcast
Why I’m starting a podcast (and why it’s going to be awesome).
Throughout my time moving from one destination to another, I found myself having conversations with people who travel frequently themselves. We shared some good laughs, learned new things and identified with each others’ stories. What I noticed is that many have seen it all while others haven’t seen enough. Both sides also shared a common theme: They’re bored because everything seems repetitive and the fun factor somehow slipped through their fingers. I, for one, can’t have you get into a rut so I’ll play my role in making life a bit more interesting using my voice and resources.
My voice would come through my podcast: The Frillstyle Travel Bag. The goal is to enlighten and to get you excited about travel and unique experiences. Now I know…a lot of you don’t need to be schooled because you’re already well-travelled. Even so, the world is a big place: it’s hard to cover all grounds and we don’t want you missing a beat!
The resources in question is my vast network of contacts. By building relationships and creating new connections throughout the years, I find myself surrounded by people who are much smarter and who are far more fascinating than I am (believe me…I’m as shocked as you are with this).
I didn’t spend my early mornings and late nights networking for absolutely no reason. Don’t get me wrong, I always have a good time meeting new people in the travel and hospitality industries and gaining access to perks and benefits that were once out of reach. But it would be selfish of me not to share my suppliers’ individual knowledge and capabilities with others.
What I won’t do is cover information that can be readily found on the world wide web. That’s just a waste of your time and mine. My plan is to discuss fun facts or “in the know” information with my contacts but in an informal manner.
Why is this awesome? The podcast is not meant to make you smarter but it will include some conversation starters that will make you much more interesting and hopefully it will expand your general knowledge and understanding of the world.
In short, this is a win-win: I get to enjoy a tasty beverage (or three) with close contacts within the industry while expanding my insight on luxury and experiential travel and you get to gain first hand information from my contacts on the grounds that could be useful to you in the long run. With all that said and done, kickback and chill and let’s get this started!
